The Story

The Beginning

After spending several years as an elementary school teacher, I stepped away from the classroom to become a stay-at-home mom. But somewhere between PTA events, diaper changes, gymnastics and meal planning, I realized something: I missed creating.

I had always loved crafting and designing — custom t-shirts for friends and coworkers, carefully creating and curating thoughtful gifts for friends and family. Finally, I decided to turn that lifelong passion into something real. I started making personalized wooden gifts in my home studio in Belton, Texas, and what began as a creative outlet quickly grew into Branch & Blooms Co.

The Craft

Every piece that I ship goes through a careful process. I select each cut of wood from local suppliers here in the Belton, Texas area, inspecting and preparing every piece to ensure the smoothest and most beautiful surface for detailed laser engraving.

My Materials

I work primarily with two types of wood: 1/4" birch plywood for signs and larger items — chosen for its durability and beautiful grain — and 1/8" basswood for lighter items and dimensional components, prized for its fine texture and ability to hold intricate laser details.

Made to Order

Each item is made specifically for you. When your order comes in, I review the personalization details carefully, set up the laser engraving design, and then craft your piece by hand. This made-to-order approach means your keepsake is unique — no two are exactly alike.

My Shop

Small but mighty. The heartbeat of my operation is my Creality Falcon 2 Pro 22W Diode Laser Engraver. Purchased on a hope and a prayer for success at the end of 2024, this machine has been the bridge between my imagination and the finished products I get to share with you. From my home shop to your front door, every piece is a labor of love.

Hi! I'm Laura — the founder, designer, maker, packer, and shipper all rolled into one. When I'm not at the laser engraver, you'll find me with my husband and kids, planning my next family adventure, or designing the next perfect handmade treasure for my store.

Being a former teacher gives me a unique eye for the occasions that matter most in a family's life: the first day of school, the arrival of a new baby, the appreciation of a beloved teacher, the joy of a holiday tradition. I design every collection with those moments in mind.
